Nikko is also famous as ice hockey town. Nikko Kirifuri Ice Area, the host venue of the 2007 IIHF World Women Championship Division I, is also used as the home of Nikko Kobe Ice Bucks, a professional club team played in the Asia League Ice Hockey. Last December, Nikko City held the first Japan Junior and Senior High School Girls Ice Hockey Meet and we may proudly say that the ice hockey fever has been growing enormously in Nikko. |
